Any current owners of Bike-Guard
tubular key style U-locks who are concerned about the security of their lock are able to take advantage
of Bike-Guard’s product upgrade program. Details of which are outlined below.
Any of the following models purchased after September 30th, 2001 qualify
for a No Charge upgrade to be available through Bike-Guard retailers;
Magnum 1400 – Silver/Grey Body
Magnum 1250 – Silver/Grey Body
Mini Magnum – Silver/Grey Body
Micro Magnum – Black Body
Mega-Magnum Combo – Silver/Grey Body
Mini Magnum Combo – Silver/Grey Body
Owners of the above affected lock models will be entitled to a replacement locking crossbar for
their model of lock(s) to be made available at no cost to the customer through authorized Bike-Guard
retailers. This security upgrade will incorporate the finest Flat Key High Security mechanisms available,

Lock upgrades will be available at local Bike-Guard retailers on or about January 10th, 2005 Any customers
of the affected models above whose lock body is Black instead of Silver/Grey will also qualify for this
upgrade so long as the lock in question was purchased within the past 2 years. Any lock purchased before
this time qualifies for Bike-Guard’s Discount Security Upgrade program as outlined below.
Owners of any Bike-Guard, Norco Bike-Guard, or BikeMate U-lock purchased
before September 30th, 2001 qualify for Bike-Guard’s discount security program. Upon return of your Tubular
key style U-lock (with keys) to your Authorized Bike-Guard retailer, that same Bike-Guard retailer will
discount the retail price of any Bike-Guard lock of your choice by 25%. To find your local Bike-Guard

Bike-Guard feels strongly that the best service and expertise available
to consumers is through Specialty Bicycle Retailers. We have chosen to make this program available through
these retailers and will not be handling any security concerns directly with consumers, nor will consumers
be required to send their locks back by courier. Consumers will be able to visit their Bike-Guard retailer
and have their concerns handled immediately, face to face, with no shipping time, or complications.
